The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has accused the head of a popular hacker forum of conspiring to commit computer fraud and abuse. The DoJ charged Gabriel “H3X” Sullivant, 20, the leader of Breachforums—a website that offers stolen credentials and tools to assist malicious actors—with two counts of conspiracy to access a protected computer without authorization and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
According to the DoJ, Sullivant, also known as “Xyz,” owned and operated Breachforums. While the website was mainly used as a platform for exchanging information regarding computer hacking techniques and tools, it also allowed members access to stolen credentials and other data.
